Safeguarding

Here at St Christopher’s we believe that safeguarding is part of our core mission, valuing everyone in God’s image. We do all we can to ensure that our worshipping communities offer welcoming and safe places for children and vulnerable adults, by making safeguarding everyone’s responsibility.

Our safeguarding policy is based on the 6 Principles adopted by the Church of England:

  1. Promoting a safer environment and culture.

  2. Safely recruiting and supporting all those with any responsibility related to children and vulnerable adults.

  3. Responding promptly to every safeguarding concern or allegation.

  4. Caring pastorally for victims/survivors of abuse or other affected persons.

  5. Caring pastorally for those who are the subject of concerns/allegations of abuse and other affected persons.

  6. Responding to those that may pose a present risk.

Our Safeguarding Officer is Debbie Cypher.
